Bees are incredibly important to us. They are responsible for the pollination and existence of more than 70% of our food diversity. Bees also produce unique and high-quality food. We think of many jars of honey per bee colony. However, an individual bee produces 1/12th teaspoon of honey in her entire lifetime. Moreover, the honey produced by a worker bee is often consumed only after she herself is dead.
